Pillar bedding is a support structure between the action and the bottom metal, that assist in eliminating any variation due to stock compression.
Fluting sets you apart visually from other barrels or bolt appearances. One of the most distinctive options available to anyone contemplating the purchase of a rifle is a fluted barrel. Fluting is mostly a decorative appearance but can lighten the barrel weight slightly.
Threading for a silencer includes an end cap to protect the barrel threads.

The biggest and most important part of building a rifle is inletting the barrel and ramrod groove and drilling the ramrod hole. Once those things are done, everything else on the rifle follows from them. We can inlet for most actions and need the rifle on hand for final fitments and adjustments.
